Casey Gant

Casey Gant grew up in Wilson NC playing Soccer and Baseball. He studied Fisheries and Wildlife Science at North Carolina State University. He married his wife Trina in 2012, and they have one daughter Hadley that plays Soccer at NCFC in the Pre-Academy program. Casey opened Carolina Gunrunners in 2012 and enjoys Hunting, Fishing, Shooting Sports and watching his daughter play soccer. He has 15 plus years in customer service, leadership and is passionate about growing relationships that help build future success. He joined the Genome Foundation because of the shared vision to help serve others and bring accessible play to all kids.

Nathan Lashley

Nathan moved to Wake Forest from Delran, New Jersey in 1996. He studied Government History at Franklin and Marshall College, where he was also a 4 year member of the wrestling and golf teams, and received his Law Degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2002 and is a licensed attorney in North Carolina.  He has been married to his wife Julie for 16 years and they have three wonderful children.  Of them, two play soccer for CASL at the Classic level and one is on two competitive cheerleading teams.  Nathan enjoys fishing, grilling out and a round of golf every now and then.


Todd Robinson

Todd Robinson grew up playing soccer in Jacksonville, NC. He earned a degree in computer science from NC State while playing on the club team. Currently coaching varsity boys and girls at Thales Academy in Rolesville, he started by coaching his kids' rec teams at Franklin Wake Soccer Club (previously Youngsville Area Soccer Club). He coached the 2003 FWSC Force challenge team from 2013-2021. During this time he incorporated futsal into player development. He loved the quickness it required and how it reduced dependence on physical size requiring players to focus on ball control and movement rather than solely athleticism.  He has been a volunteer at Capital Futsal since 2020. Todd enjoys developing players in order to achieve their goals on and off the field. He strives to impart life lessons through a sport the players enjoy. When not on a soccer field he enjoys golf and sailing.


Shannon Derbyshire

Shannon Derbyshire has 20+ years of expertise. Proven leader in go-to-market strategies, customer success, and HR performance management. She specializes in system management and cultural integration to drive organizational effectiveness. Shannon enjoys spending time with her family, watching soccer, and going to the lake.
